Hello. I’m Heidi Fuller
I am a professional writer, communicator, business advisor, scholar of health and science, nature lover, and overall do-gooder. When I was young, I learned that I write to think. That is, for thoughts to form and then organize on the page, I needed to put pen to paper (and later fingers to keyboard), as though the words opened a valve in my brain. I realized then that writing would always be a big part of my life. After a lifelong career advising and writing for business, high tech, and healthcare companies, I moved to Sonoma County in 2018 to live and work closer to nature and to contribute my skills to improving my community. As an adult with ADHD and a mother of a now-adult child with ADHD, I have a special connection with students who struggle to express themselves. I strive to find the best approach for each child, especially students who learn best in alternative classrooms settings.
Positive, Calm, Supportive
I have a positive outlook, a calm nature, and a supportive instruction style. I understand and respect the concept of multiple intelligences and am adept at teaching students with a wide range of learning styles. My coaching credential equips me to guide students to discover their own ideas, stay organized, and remain accountable for their progress – skills they carry on past their schoolwork.
Enrichment and Remedial Support
I am available to support ongoing coursework, reading and writing improvement, test prep, and college applications, exams, and assignments. I enjoy working with students who crave enrichment as well as those who need remedial help. As an English major, a lifelong reader, and a writer of poetry, personal essay, and fiction, I especially enjoy helping students explicate literature to compose their essay assignments.
I have enjoyed a lifelong career, helping writers develop their projects and guiding businesses, nonprofits, and documentaries to articulate their brand narrative. Working mostly in the high tech and healthcare markets, I have helped businesses tell stories that bring their content to life. I am most valued for simplifying complex concepts and motivating individuals and teams to work with heart, ethics, and accountability.
